Arbor Day: Tree Planting & Tree Campus USA Celebration + Ask a Master Gardener

Come celebrate Arbor Day and our designation by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus USA for the 4th straight year!

On Friday, April 28th we’ll be planting a tree and giving away FREE Elderberry Trees and wildflower seeds on a first come, first served basis!

New this year: Come talk to the Med Center’s own Master Gardener, Susan Siebler!  She’ll be on hand to answer questions about your garden, plants and trees!  Her fellow Master Gardener will also be there to show off a Tower Garden and answer your questions as well.  Spring is in the air, get your questions answered before you start digging in the dirt!

Who: You! All Nebraska Medicine and UNMC faculty, staff,  students, their families are invited to this event.

When:Friday, April 28th from 11am – 12:30pm

Where: Green space between the Student Life Center and the College of Public Health.  Click here to see a map.

What: Ask the Master Gardeners your questions, we’ll plant a tree, and free elderberry trees and wildflower seeds available on a first come first served basis.  Master Gardeners available until 12:30pm.

Why:  Come enjoy the spring weather on a Friday at lunch, get your gardening questions answered, celebrate our 4th straight year as a Tree Campus USA while honoring Nebraska’s own Arbor Day!
